Adding interesting typography and artwork is fun with two of my favorite apps: Over and A Beautiful Mess. They both work wonderfully with social media—especially Instagram.
Of course, you can find loads of apps out there with filters to use with iPhone photography. I like both of these apps because they combine photo editing features with typopgraphy and artwork.

A BEAUTIFUL MESS APP
If you like the blog A Beautiful Mess by Elsie and Emma, then chances are you'll fall in love with this app. The app includes loads of wonderful fonts and amazing "doodle" art and borders that keep your shots fresh and fun. You can buy additional fonts, borders, and art to supplement the basic app if you want. This app is specifically for Instagram square-sized photos.
OVER APP
The Over app is a more versatile app for many reasons. First of all, it works with a variety of photo dimensions. Also it includes a handy grid tool that allows you to set up your text on the image. I also like the way the app makes it easy to adjust the font/art size and change the placement. Overall I think this app is more intuitive.
