Olivia Munn first caught my attention back when she was hired as a correspondent on "The Daily Show." You'd think by this time we would be over the whole female stereotypes thing. But because Munn is beautiful, there were a few in the media who complained that the only reason she was hired as a news correspondent was for her looks. The truth is, Munn is both beautiful and brainy. Fortunately she had plenty of supporters too. The women on the show even banded together to support her and all women on the show. Of course she has gone on to do many more projects where she plays brilliant woman—including the role of brilliant economist and financial reporter Sloan Sabbith on the HBO series The Newsroom and as the brainy Type A analyst Momo on the film I Don't Know How She Does It.
Do you have a show you can't wait to watch each week? I have several, but one of my faves is Aaron Sorkin's show The Newsroom on Sunday nights on HBO. As I mentioned, Olivia Munn plays the sexy-smart financial reporter Sloan Sabbith.
You can read more about her in an article by The Coveteur in ELLE this month and get a glimpse into her closet—vintage Coach bags, form-fitting dresses, Louboutin heels, and denim shirts. Yep, she loves the casual feel and look of a denim, see my illustration above. But she also obviously knows when to dress up a bit more. Huffington Post this week explains how Munn saved us from a fashion drought at the VMA's—she wore a gorgeous strapless bustier dress complete with a lace pencil skirt and contrast piping along the bodice.
