One of my favorite things to do in a new city is visit the places the locals love. Sometimes it's as easy as walking down the sidewalk and looking in restaurant windows or following a line of people that wraps around a corner because they want the ultimate cupcake.
This cupcake illustration was inspired by a favorite NYC bakery of mine. And, yes, the line to get inside wrapped around the building and down the block. The wait was worth every minute.
