Did you have a favorite gown from the Grammys? Every year at the Grammys, the ladies sizzle on the red carpet with some of the most sensational and over-the-top looks of the year. This year the gowns on the red carpet had plenty of shine and sparkle even though they seemed a bit more subdued than past years. Can't pick just one look as the best because so many were fabulous. I think Taylor Swift's shimmering column dress absolutely rocked. Who knew chainmail could look so glamorous?
Here are the details on Taylor's red carpet look I sketched above: She wore a Gucci Premiere gold lamé, short-sleeve fitted gown featuring a crystal mesh overlay. I loved the details on this gown—especially the crystal gemstone sparkly detail at the T-shirt neckline—and also at her arms and waist. Of course I can't leave out the bling and the shoes: Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings and Jimmy Choo Mariah platform heels. She looked perfect with her hair pulled back in a side-parted pony tail.
Although Taylor Swift didn't take home a Grammy for Album of the Year for Red, her ballad performance later in the program was pure perfection. She wore a beaded dove-gray gown with sequin detailing and a flowing train streaming out behind her as she sat at the piano and played her song "All Too Well."
