Just so everybody knows... It's March and it's not warm and sunny in Minneapolis today. But I found this photo taken during much warmer days and decided I needed to talk about this sweet and sunny shop.
I've posted about Linden Hills before (here and here) and I love this charming neighborhood in southwest Minneapolis. It was my neighborhood before I moved west to Colorado. Back in my midwest days, I lived in a house only a short walk away from Lake Harriet.
So let's take another look at some reasons you might want to check out this area. Linden Hills has a variety of shops. One of my faves is Brown & Greene Floral Market. The shop has a wide selection of plants and if you are looking for gift ideas you will also find cards, candles and French soaps. Classes in garland-making and arranging are available at the shop.
You can find the flower shop at West 44th Street and Chowen Avenue on my illustrated map below. Be sure to schedule your visit at lunch time and then walk across the street to Turtle Bread Bakery for soup and sandwiches. And of course, buy some bread to take home! Of course, if you want something sweet, head over to Sebastian Joe's Ice Cream shop for homemade ice cream and fresh coffee.
